In the digital age, having the ability to record a PC screen in Windows operating systems—whether Windows 10 or Windows 11—is crucial. Don't worry if you're not sure how to do it; this post will explain two simple techniques for Windows screen recording. For more enlighteni

In its most recent iterations, Windows includes a simple screen capturing capability. Despite its shortcomings, this built-in feature can be used as a temporary workaround for unplanned Windows screen recordings.

'Windows + G' keys should be pressed simultaneously to begin recording. The Game Bar appears after performing this step, signalling the start of the screen recording procedure.

A "Layout" comes on your screen after you press a key, and the recording begins right away. Simply click the white round button in the top left corner of your screen to begin recording.

Click the gear icon at the top of the screen if you want to change the recording scope. This will take you to the 'Capturing' option, where you may choose the area you want to record in.

All of your captured videos are automatically saved by the system in the 'Videos/Captures' folder on your Local Disc C.

Unfortunately, Windows 10's Microsoft-integrated functionality does not permit recording the Desktop or File Explorer. Do not, however, worry. An alternative tool with extensive screen recording capabilities and flexible video quality and parameter modifications will be covered in the parts that follow.

As previously mentioned, not all screen recording formats are automatically supported by Windows 10, necessitating third-party software. The Microsoft Store's "Screen Recorder Pro" is a good choice. It is straightforward and captures the whole screen, including the file explorer and desktop. Go to the Microsoft Store and look up "Screen Recorder Pro For Win10" to download it. Don't let the name fool you; it also works with Windows 11. After installation, use the programme and carry out a quick configuration. The 'Limit' box is initially ticked to restrict the video frame rate. Deselect it, then type "30" in the field to the right. Press the red record button to start recording. Your computer's 'Documents/Capture' folder is where the recorded videos are kept.

Professional streamers frequently select OBS. OBS is a software that is primarily used for broadcasting, although it also excels at screen recording. Though more sophisticated than "Screen Recorder Pro," it offers more setting possibilities. Download it from the OBS website, then select "Sources," "Add," and "Screenshot" to record a simple screen. OBS defaults to Matroska (.mkv), so we advise adjusting the settings to change it to.mp4.
